Royal William Yard

Once a Royal Navy victualling yard, Royal William Yard is now an award-winning waterside destination in the heart of the South West.  The range of listed buildings have been re-imagined as places to live, work, stay and visit.  We took a stroll around the yard last year - it has a majestic industrial feel to it and gave us an exciting sense of exploration!  There are no big bold modern signs, each shop and food outlet is subtly marked in keeping with the history of the buildings.  Right on the waters edge, it boasts stunning coastal views and has a grassy green area at the centre.  There is a huge choice of places to eat - somewhere to stop for hours, as well as places to grab a quick bite to take away.  We tried bagels from The Hutong Bagel Company - they were as good as they looked!
